Trade Remedies Consulting LLP. achieved initiation of partial interim review of the countervailing measures applicable to imports of "certain rainbow trout" originating in Turkey. The European Commission accepted that there is sufficient prima facie evidence that the circumstances with regard to subsidization have changed significantly and are of a lasting nature and, therefore, the measures should be reviewed. European Union is the largest export market of Turkey. Turkey has more than 90 million Euro export sales of trout in 2016 to the EU. The countervailing duty currently in force was imposed on the 26th of February, 2015 and the duty is in the range of 6,7-9,5% of CIF value and is expected to decrease to 2-4% at the end of this partial interim review investigation process.
